KFC Players took that segment with a presentation called ‘
Tyrese Grant depicting ‘Vincy Heat,’ secured the individual 10 to 15 category, followed by Raphillia Bailey, who depicted ‘
Kevin Howard in the costume ‘The last Samurai’ placed third in the Junior King competition. John exuded pride and happiness with his Band’s accomplishments thus far. He attributed the triumph to “hard work,” put in by the members of the band. He paid tribute to the staff which he described as “dedicated.”
“We know we can do quality Mas. Once we finish our Mas, we would be very competitive,” John predicted about Sunday night’s and Tuesday’s appearances. He outlined that the drawings for the band’s King and Queen costumes looked good. He anticipates that the band will be in the top three.
Players have taken the Band of the Year title on the last three occasions, and John is hoping to make it four in a row. “We want to join the big league to do four in a row,” he indicated.
