St.Vincent and The Grenadines has a thriving music scene.  You will find an abundance of Steel Pan players, Soca singers, Calypsonians, Drummers, Dancehall artists, Gospel singers and many more.  Many artistes record their music on the island with some having regional and international success.  Presently one such artist has made it really big on the international scene. Kevin Lyttle with his hit "Turn Me On", recorded at Sky Studios in St.vincent, has made it to the top 5 in several European pop charts.
There are an abundance of recording facilities in St.Vincent such as The Master Room Studios, JR Studios, Skakes Studios, Rough Lab and High Syhanz Studio. You will find in the shops many cds by local artists available in many styles ranging from calypso, reggae, soca, gospel (www.anitacharles.com)  and even pop.

There are also many FM stations on the island....NBC Radio, Hitz FM, Hot 97 FM, WE FM,Cross Country Radio and Nice Radio. They play a large variety of music though mostly of the Jamaican and American genre.
Also St.Vincent hosts several music festivals annually.Starting the year is the Blues Festival then in April The Gospel Festival, June brings Carnival (
