YOUR HOLIDAY STORIES : St. Vincent |
 |
(I want to send my story.)
Home Sick
I really do miss St Vincent a whole lot. Just reading all the messages I got home sick. I've been away from St Vincent for a long time. It has this saying home is where the heart is, and my heart is very much in St Vincent.

No place like home
I left SVG July 2000 for Canada to better my position. When arriving here I had to adjust to everything, food clothes, work and the weather. Believe me I am still here but I can`t enjoy this life in Canada.
I can`t wait to reach home. I miss my family, friends and Vincy on a whole. There is no place like home for Christmas, smelling those cakes and bread baking, ginger beer, sorrel, blackwine, carolling, nine mornings and my loving Vincy people. believe me. [

Michael Gaymes
My husband Michael D Gaymes came from St Vincent. In 1971 we were married. In 1973 I visited St Vincent quite a few times and always love going there. My husband and my children visited St Vincent when the children were little. My husband has passed away in 2005 and when I hear someone speaking in the Vincy way I can always identify the island.
I would love to visit it again someday, even though it will be hard not going with my husband. St Vincent is one beautiful island and the people are very kind and nice. [

blessed island
Beautiful SVG I miss my family so much, paradise that's what SVG is. You don't realize it until you leave. I am away in the USA for the past four years, and every day I think of SVG.
I miss the beach, the warmth of the people, a smile, a hello. It's real hard when you're so used to your culture, and then you have to adjust to another. There is nothing like home. People can say what they want - SVG is paradise. I'm looking forward to my holiday, there I am happy.

Beautiful St Vincent
To my beautiful homeland I miss it every day of every moment - St Vincent. Living in Florida for the past four years, it's nice here but nothing like home. When you are in St Vincent you are at peace, it's just beautiful and breath taking.
I love my Vincy; and to my people it's not paradise in these parts. You are living in paradise so enjoy it, you never know what you have until you lose it. I miss the warm smiles, a hello the beach, you my people I miss my homeland. I'm looking forward to my vacation in Vincy.
